‘The Hexagon’ is open!

Parents and children are now invited to use the new ‘Hexagon’ seating area in front of the New Building.  We staged an official opening at morning break today.  Oliver played a trumpet fanfare, then there was a roll of the drums (courtesy of Sam) and a cymbal crash (from George) and Mr Balchin cut the ribbon.

Then the children took over and used the area for charades, dancing and a quiet chat.  Parents are welcome to use the area at any time, but especially when they are waiting to collect their children in the evening.

‘The Hexagon’ is nearly finished

Mr Balchin has been working hard to add the finishing touches to our magnificent new ‘Hexagon’ seating area, in front of the New Building.

When the internal benches are finished there should be space for around thirty people and it will be a super meeting point for the children and the parents. We plan to add some more planters around the structure, some of which have been paid for by the Parents Association.

The Hexagon

Construction has re-started on ‘The Hexagon’, in the open space in front of the New Building. When this is finished it will be a wooden shelter/seating area that will be available for the children to use at break times and for the parents to use as a meeting point.  Many thanks go to Mr.Balchin who is working hard on the project.
