Colts Vs Laxton Wednesday 27th January (Home)
Stoneygate started well, scoring first we played as a unit. Taking a good lead we looked like we were going to win easily. However, in the second half Laxton played like a different team clawing back the goals. From 5 – 0 down they pulled back to 5 – 3 and even looked like they were going to win the match. Stoneygate dug deep and, with a “Champagne Moment”, scored to make it 6 – 5. Unfortunately for us Laxton again raised their game and scored a final equaliser in the dying seconds to finish at a 6 – 6 draw.
It was a closely contested game with a draw being a fair result. James was “Man of the Match” for his hatrick and Max got “Champagne Moment” for a half way line goal.
