The cricket tour to Yorkshire was great fun and following the cricket match against Cundall Manor we travelled into the Yorkshire Dales for a two night stay at The Howstean Gorge. The boys stayed in a bunkhouse next to the gorge. Mr Stocks cooked the BBQ on the first night and then everyone played football and touch rugby. The following day the boys went Gorge Scrambling, climbing and completed a Via Ferrata course, which is one of only two in the country. This involved a 60ft abseil, wild swimming, navigating through dark caves, and crossing the gorge on high wires. Not for the faint hearted!!
Meals were taken in the Howstean Cafe, and the boys enjoyed huge full English breakfasts and homemade lunch and supper.
It was a pleasure to take such an enthusiastic and fun bunch of boys. Good luck at your senior schools boys.
