COLTS A SOCCER V GRACE DIEU

COLTS A 2, GRACE DIEU 6

COLTS A 3, GRACE DIEU 3

SCORERS: Max W 2, Ed B, Jack U and Matt W

The Colts A team rounded off their season with two 5 a side matches at Lutterworth Soccer Centre on a perfect afternoon for football. The play was in a football court on rubber crumb astro turf and was thus a very quick and tiring game.

Both Stoneygate teams played exceptional football yet lost out on the physical side (the first match particularly). Yet again however Stoneygate’s superiority of passing and movement came to the fore and many chances were created without much success.

Man of the Matches went to;

1st game: Kai W for some outstanding goalkeeping

2nd game: Max W for his tenacity in the tackle and his two great goals.

Afterwards the boys were presented with honours for the season and special guest, Mr Thompson, did the honours. A summary of the season is printed below and in addition to the awards presented two further accolades will be made on Friday to two boys (who will remain nameless in this report).
