The year 4 Rugby team have played 2 matches recently and following a fine start to the season have tasted defeat in both of them.

The team consisted of Ed N, Arush B, Will W, Dylan I, James K, Freddie C and Harris A on both occasions and unfortunately they could not reach the heights of previous matches. Stoneygate Lost last Thursday 55 points to 15 to Grace Dieu and today went down by 40 points to 15 against Maidwell Hall. Will W improved his individual try total with 4 of the 6 tries Stoneygate scored during the 2 matches. James K and Freddie C scoring the other 2. Against Grace Dieu Will W was given man of the match and the same award went to a magnificent forward running display by Ed N against Maidwell Hall. All the boys showed great courage in both matches against teams much larger than themselves. This was epitomised today by Harris A who made a try saving tackle of the highest order and bravery, injuring himself in the process.

Once again many thanks to the parents who turned up to support the boys and once again well played all the year 4 boys who played in both matches. Much has been learned about the game so far this season and whilst it is nice to win it is much more important to know you have performed well. This has been the case throughout the season with the year 4 boys.
